Candoco Youth Dance Class
Led by experienced teachers, this fun and inclusive weekly class explores different contemporary dance techniques including improvisation, composition and the art of making dance together. The group connect and communicate through dance and we aim to build confidence, develop movement skills and encourage creativity throughout the term.
This class is taught by Chris Owen, and is open to everyone between the ages of 13 and 25 – no dance experience is required.
What are my options to get involved?
We offer taster workshops at the start of every term, where we welcome disabled and non-disabled 13-25 year olds to experience a regular Cando2 class. The next taster session will take place on Tuesday 21st April 2020 (18:00-20:00h) at The Place, Flaxman Terrace, London, WC1H 9AT. No previous dance experience is needed to join the taster workshop/ term of classes.
If you would like to sign up to our taster sessions please email info@candoco.co.uk. After the taster session, you can let us know what you thought and if you'd like to join the class for the rest of the term.
What equipment do I need?
You do not need any special equipment for the Cando2 classes, just comfortable clothes that you can dance/ move in. We recommend jogging bottoms/ leggings and a t-shirt/ long sleeve top. You will be dancing barefoot so there is no need for dance shoes.
What will it cost me?
Each taster session is £3 per person. If you wanted to join the Cando2 sessions for the term then this is £100 per participant (working out as approximately £10 per session).
How do I get involved?
You can email the friendly Candoco team on info@candoco.co.uk or call us on 020 8305 6845 and we can provide further information as well as confirm your attendance on the taster workshops/ class.
